Snow is overplayed

Prior in my twelve years of public schooling, we had maybe a total of one or two snow days as declared by the mayor of NYC. In the last two weeks alone we had two. So over the snow. Soooo over it.

It was windy today. Windy and cold.
The more I work and the more I come in contact with “the real world,” the more I stress myself out. I keep imposing impossible deadlines on myself that shouldn’t exist at all. Nobody is expecting these things of me and I have to allow myself a learning curve. It’s not like those I admire didn’t go through a similar learning curve before they got to be where they are today. Stop making things impossible for yourself.
Another completely unrelated thing is that I take very little pictures of myself. And very little pictures get taken of me. I just don’t hang around a lot of photo people, what can I say? I take a ton of pictures of everyone else but that’s what I am, the person behind the camera and that’s where I’m most comfortable. Some people are meant to be in front of the camera. Whether they shine in front of it, or they just happen to have friends who like to photograph them, they’re just meant to constantly be in front of the camera even if it’s not their desire to be. Funny how things work out.

Busy weeks = hazardously written post-it notes hazardously taped all over my computer. I’m trying to adjust to a new and excruciatingly jammed schedule, and so far I’m not adjusting well. That equals long nights and a severe lack of sleep. Woe :(
(So much dust!)

These are probably the best scrambled eggs I ever cooked. Light and fluffy and mmm I love eggs.

In other news, the new place that I intern at is two blocks away from Kinokuniya. It’s fate.
I made THREE trips in one week to Kinokuniya. Two trips were out of the way, and one was on-the-way. Still. Not normal.

I’ve discovered MT Tape, which is some sort of amazing stationery miracle. It’s tape that’s made with a special kind of paper, but the best thing about it for someone like me is that it rips easily from the roll, and it’s easily removeable from any surface, without ripping from the said surface. I’m in the collect-all-colors-and-patterns mode, but I love the practicality too.
