Boys Before Flowers, episode 21


To make up for Woobin’s lack of presence in…everything.

I’ve come to a conclusion about two things:

1. Jun Hee and Jae Kyung are the two most reliable, consistent and well-written characters in the series thus far, and they’re both played really well by two good actresses to boot.

2. F4 are first year university students. Jandi is a JUNIOR in HIGH SCHOOL. When I was a junior, I worried about whether or not that boy in my AP Biology class was using my pen to poke at the insides of a dead frog.

This drama makes sense, only, not at all. It’s too heavy and while I can suspend a certain amount of disbelief since this was based on a manga, I can only hold it for so long.

Lee Minho’s got an annoyingly good build. Half the things he wears on Boys Over Flowers that should technically not work on anybody, work on him.


Not sure what Hyunjoong is doing, but hey, good hair.

Boys Before Flowers, episode 19

Is it just me or does nothing really happen in these last few eps? I feel like I’m constantly waiting for something, and to happen soon before the series is over in the blink of an eye.

Also, I’m highly alarmed at Jun Pyo’s affinity for ramen.

Boys Before Flowers, episode 18

Condolences to friends and family of Jang Ja Yeon. May you rest in peace.

Drama-wise: So while we do get a new soundtrack, instead of sounding inappropriately comical at points where they shouldn’t be, we now get music that makes it seem like every scene is about a character who’s in a race against time because of certain terminal illness, on top of having been scorned by a lover, on top of being disowned by parents, on top of being left homeless, on top of having nothing left in the world. Yeah.

Also, we find out in this ep that Yi Jung is older than Jun Pyo. Which, just, you know, blows my mind. But that’s just me.
