Yeah, this was definitely in the making for a while now.
I usually judge how popular an actor is with the younger fangirls based on how big his/her photogallery is at AsianFanatic’s forums. My theory is that older fangirls tend to like older guys, and older fangirls don’t usually do things like update a star’s photogallery consistently, whereas the younger ones do. Now, I’m sure there are tons of people who do what I just said they don’t, but bear with me. And I’ve observed that Mr. Chun’s fanbase consists mainly of girls who are non-teens. Based on his pathetic 3 page gallery, my hunch stands correct. Babyface has a relatively low tween fanbase, which is totally fine by me because MORE FOR AMY!
Anyhoo. I am proud to say that my longstanding crush on Mr. Chun now spans three dramas and not just a springy fling because he’s in Cinderella’s Sister. I first watched him in What’s Up Fox, then Cinderella’s Sister, and now, Fashion 70s. I’m sure when I have time, I’ll start on Goodbye Solo too, but for some reason Goodbye looks like there’d be a cancer patient in there somewhere, so my drama radar is suspicious and tingly at the mo’.
Prior to What’s Up, I didn’t completely get the hype. After, I understood it. During Cinderella, I was totally stirred. After Fashion 70s, SQUEE. (I also think that three dramas is the most I’ve ever watched that starred the same actor.)

Yes, this is the defining Bonamana screencapture.
I’m going to say straight off the bat that,
1. This song is uninspired.
2. This video is amazingly lazy, even by SM standards.
3. The lyrics are elementary.
4. Yoo Young-jin needs to take a HUGE vacation and step away from SM studios for a while. Come back with a few new beats, and then we’ll talk. In fact, he and Teddy should vacation together.
BUT. The song’s choreography makes up for everything.
I was really, really, realllllly unimpressed by the video — I downright disliked it — but I also know that Super Junior tends to spend a lot of time on crafting choreography for their songs. They have the advantage and disadvantage of having 13 10 members. On the one hand, it still looks like a circus when they perform on stage. On the other hand, they get to incorporate cool stuff into their dances because they can break the 10 membered group into mini-groups during the dances.
This is one of the most high-energy dances I’ve seen in Kpop. I get such a rush of adrenaline after watching them dance to this song. A lot of the moves are “??????” and look wild and flail-y but I DIG. I dig everything. I dig the Egyptian walks, the backward-bent kicks, the LAME harem pants. It’s really 70s feeling for some reason, total disco stuff. There are even moves in there that look like moves you would make if you were completely socially inept and completely body/tone deaf and you wanted to fake like you could dance. But it’s all cool.
You know what else I dig?

He’s sliding across floors, crotch thrusting, participating in dance breaks. WHAT IS GOING ON.

This is just a mini-post to say that I am fucking floored.
Moon Geun Young is stunning. Like, I think I’m in love. I don’t even have words.
Some of the scenes in the four episodes thus far have been so well-crafted, well-shot, well-written, well-acted that I feel like I’m breathing in someone else’s life. This drama — and those scenes especially — is good for the heart, good for the brain, and good for the eyes.
I’ve had many bad experiences with beginning episodes of a drama being amazing and then having the rest of them tank on me (ahem, Will It Snow for Christmas?). Oh MAN I hope this series doesn’t whack the hell out halfway through because these four episodes have been better than any series in its entirety.
The thing I love about this drama most is that everything is up in the air. I don’t have anything figured out. After seeing one K-drama, you’ve essentially seen them all even if situations in each drama are different, but I’m still clueless about this one. Everyone producing this drama is trying to find ways to subvert the standard K-drama norms — even if it’s in the smallest way possible — and I am loving them all for it.
From the very start I was wary about starting Cinderella’s Sister because I wasn’t sure about Moon Geun Young playing a villain. Now, I’m not sure what she’s going to be, and I love it. And her chemistry with Chung Jung Myung?
Let’s just say that this drama has been perfect with casting.
Taec, when you show up, you better not ruin my shit. I will kill you if you do.

I’m sorry Joong Ki baby, I tried, but even you can’t make me excited about an OBGYN-related drama. I just can’t. Even this won’t stir me:

Gimme a summer. Maybe.

This is just fucking depressing.
We counted the number of spots in each of the 122 fall, 2010, shows held in New York that were covered by Style.com. [...] The numbers, as you can see, were not encouraging. Of 4,095 turns on the runway, only 662 went to models who weren’t white. That’s barely 16%.
Black models, at 323 bookings, were used the most of any single ethnic group, aside from whites. Asians were second, with 264. Latinas were a distant third, with 61 trips down the catwalk. Fourteen times during this fashion week, models of other races were used in a runway show.
