Let me blow your mind

Loving these shoots from Moon Geun-young and Yoo Seung-ho’s fall endorsements. Moon’s endorsing Basic House and Yoo is working it for Customellow. Love both these actors and both of these labels so the glee is all mine. Would it be too much to get a drama with Moon and Yoo together?

Basic House is always adorable and Customellow is a personal favorite even though they are a men’s only line and I am not a man nor do I have access to their clothes. Remember this gem from Customellow a year ago? *weeps*

More deliciousness after the jump.

Happy belated 3rd

It was ze blog’s 3rd birthday this past August 21st. Three years and almost 700 posts (!) later, the blog has turned three.

I’ve been MIA around these parts lately — some of it due to lack of time, most of it due to lack of inspiration. I’ve been trying to organize my life. Be less of a bum. Be less careless. Be more diligent. And energy required to focus on those things takes time away from the blog. I don’t like posting for the sake of posting, but mustering up the energy to post something worthy of writing, worthy of reading gets to be a little strenuous sometimes, as all y’all bloggers would know.

What I want to write about these days is questionable. I have a lot of things to say (how much of a shitfest was Spy Myung-wol? Anyone else tiring from Scent?) but writing has become a bit of a chore the last two weeks so I just forego it completely, instead of starting and giving up half way. Don’t worry, I’m not giving up or anything, it’s just going to have to come at a later time when inspiration strikes.

Anyway, this post was not meant to be a downer. As you can see around these parts, the blog got a layout refresh, a new page, and an update to an old one. It feels like I’ve been tidying up house. It was a good exercise to do all of that, and I like that the blog is cleaner and more well-organized now. Stay for a while, won’t you? ;)

Instax gratification

I bought a desktop photo album for my Instax shots the other day. I like keeping it on my desk and flipping through the pages to look at old shots every once in a while. Of my cameras, I like my Instax Mini the most, and of all my shots, I like my mini shots the most.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge digital enthusiast, but because digital gives you the chance to redo your shots constantly, there’s always something mundane about the photos produced. I’ve never taken an instant shot twice because I “messed” up. Ever. There’s the idea that you have to get the perfect shot on the photographer’s side, because you can’t redo it, and there’s also the idea that you have to put your best face forward on the subject’s side, because the shot can’t be redone.

This isn’t about my abilities as a photographer at all. It’s about the greatness of the medium. Coincidentally (or not) the people in all my instant shots always look super happy and content and I love the photos so, so, so much. There’s just something to be said about print that makes things precious.

Zenkai Girl, episodes 1 to 8

I’ve been meaning to check this drama out because I like Aragaki Yui, and I’m glad I did because it’s really enjoyable. It’s well-written and just light enough that I don’t feel completely overwhelmed. There are things about each of the main characters that drive me batty, but I like the changes in pace and tone of Jdramas compared to that in Kdramas.
