My initial reaction to hearing this song was a shrug and a “meh” because it was more or less the same that “LA chA TA” was. It’s like the little song that could. It has some semblance of a beat, but it doesn’t culminate anywhere and is generally very repetitive.
But! I like that it’s cute while still maintaining a bit of an edge. I found myself humming “Do it, do it, chu” and “aigoo-aigoo!” after listening to the song once or twice. Plus, the MV is so cute. I love the colors in all of f(x)’s videos so far. And Sulli is THE. CUTEST. THING. known to man.
I really like their choreography for this song. There are some really odd moves here and there, but it’s got the Rino flavor. I’m glad that she’s choreographing all of f(x)’s tracks and changing things up a bit because her choreo for “Genie” was a big sack o’ dung. f(x)’s choreo is pretty intense, but I think people stopped paying attention to this when they realized the song wasn’t that stellar, which I don’t blame them for. I can see how this is a more feminine version of some of the choreo that SHINee might have gotten from Rino.
And Amber. Amber! I don’t know why, but she has no flow when she raps in English. After hearing her rap in Korean, I genuinely think she has the potential to be a good rapper if she is provided with more opportunities to rap live/practice her skill. I must’ve listened to her 5 second Korean rap sixty times over and I love it.
