I don’t have anything against 4Minute because I honestly don’t keep up with them enough to have an opinion, but I *HATE* this fashion trend in Kpop now where everyone must wear everything that clashes with everything else just because it’s so damn cool to mismatch on purpose. Ugh, it drives me crazy. I would dislike it less if any of these girls rocked these outfits, but none of them do. I have the same problem with 2NE1’s outfits because not all of them really rock their clothes with the type of swagger needed, but they do by their clothes a bit better than 4Minute.
In other news I’m super determined to learn CL’s rap in “The Leaders.” It’s just so hypnotizing to listen to, specially the line that begins at 2:43. Skills, homie.

I’ve re-busted out my scanner and I’ve been scanning up a storm of the stuff I’ve saved up: tons of magazines, a lot of interesting pieces of clippings I’ve accumulated, etc etc. It’s part of my “Summer is almost over and after 4 months, you still have not accomplished anything on your summer to-do list, so start hustlin’!” regime. I have SO many fashion magazines I’ve saved up in my room that it’s alarming. And really, I saved them so I could scan them because I like having digital copies of pieces, unless it’s so striking to me that I have to put it up on my wall or something. You’ve been warned; there will be a lot of scans coming your way.
In the process rebuilding the wall collage on my closet door. It used to look like this way back when I first started it. I’ve still got stuff planned but for now,
That ad campaign is probably my favorite one of Chloe’s and I’ve had the ads ripped out from mags for forever. The Gap ad features Boyd ♥ The “subscribe” thing is actually the subscription postcards that came with some issue of V Magazine that I bought. I was going to color each whole letter separately but I figured I liked it better like this. My pens were not happy at the end of the session.
“Rules: Don’t take too long to think about it. Fifteen books you’ve read that will always stick with you. First fifteen you can recall in no more than 15 minutes.”
01) The Great Gatsby
02) A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius
03) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
04) Little Women
05) Mao’s China and After
07) Deluxe: How Luxury Lost its Luster
09) Kenko: Essays in Idleness
10) A Million Little Pieces
11) The Scarlet Letter
12) This Side of Paradise
13) The Beautiful and Damned
14) Everything is Illuminated
15) Death of a Salesman
Interestingly enough, a good half of these books are on the list because while they are books that will always stick with me, they are noted in my memory not because I liked them. Books like “The Scarlet Letter” and “Everything is Illuminated” are special only because of how much I disliked the process of reading the books and everything associated with them. I read “The Scarlet Letter” in my junior year of high school and we spent SO MUCH TIME on discussion of the book that I felt defeated by English in general at the book’s end. My teacher (in a public high school) was very religious, very Christian, and very much insisted we take apart everything single thing and mention all religious aspects of the book. Killed all my love for this book (and the teacher). (Funny side note, right after we read “The Great Gatsby,” which is probably my favorite book of all time, and the same teacher rushed through that book in one week flat. Like I said, I have no love for this teacher.)
