More photographs from The New York Times. Not all are recent, but just came up when I was browsing through new and old news of China.


This last photo really impacted me. There’s an incredible stillness and silence to it but there’s fear written across a lot of the children’s faces. To get that from a photo is the point of photojournalism and something I hope I can aspire to.

    I like looking at the first one because at first i’m not to sure what I’m looking at. It takes a second to separate each man from the other an impulse I have that they might not.

    it’s a photo of the chinese army taking off their masks (in unison, apparently) when mourning the deaths of the victims of the sichuan earthquake.
